Duck comics are fucking with our heads
Duck Comics Revue is on temporary hiatus due to computer issues (it should be back in a few weeks at most), but I must share this panel without comment:
Really? That bad? Not that the previews looked brilliant or anything, but I expected it would be at least somewhat entertaining. Or maybe that's just because I have such low expectations for anything with the Star Trek name these days.
I reviewed it on amazon already. Yeah, it was bad. Nimoy proudly refused to be associated with Generations, but he participated in this -- perhaps we can chalk that up to incipient senility?
Ouch. That does sound bad, and given that I tend to be pretty jaundiced with regards to much-anticipated rejiggerings of popular cultural artifacts (Watchmen obviously springs to mind), I do not have high hopes. Still, I told a friend I'd go, and go I will. If you don't see bad movies, you can't bitch about them on the internet, and where's the fun in that?
So I saw the new Star Trek film last night, and I really wish I hadn't. Blarg.
