Unexpectedly delightful arcade game introductions

The game is Son of Phoenix. It is from 1985. It is a mildly diverting but fairly generic arcade game. It was developed by some generic-sounding outfit called Associated Overseas MFR, Inc. It's the same game as the Sega game called Repulse, but Repulse does not have the awesome intro. I don't know if the SoP version is a bootleg or a licensed thing. There IS a game called "Phoenix," from 1980, but it is a Taito game that seems to have no relation to this.
